Low energy density of solar illumination in certain areas and the limited efficiency of current “opaque, non-transparent” solar cells necessitate deployment of panels over large surface areas – which is very difficult to be used in highly populated area, such as city and residential area without blocking sunlight.

 

Our Transparent Organic Photovoltaics (TOPV) technology enables one to build flexible, transparent solar panels into the surrounding environment without affecting the appearance. It can be easily integrated solar cells into existing surfaces: noise-barriers, building windows (including non-window areas), car windows (including non-window areas) and bus shelters to generate power. The TOPV films/panels constantly recharge electronic equipment, even under indoor light. Our TOPV makes materials and objects energy self-sufficient and mobile.
